DISCUSSION:
• Work towards an easement agreement between Connexus Energy and representatives
of the Northfork Homeowners Association in Ramsey continues. We are hopeful the
easement will be granted in the next week or two.
• Finance Manager Melissa Karpinski and I are working on the renewal of our service
agreement with Corporate Four Insurance Agency. Corporate Four is our insurance
advisor for the management of our property/casualty and worker's compensation
insurance through the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust.
• The Board of Directors of the Minnesota Municipal Power Agency (MMPA) met on May
28, 2024, at Chaska City Hall in Chaska, Minnesota and via videoconference.
Commissioner Stewart attended via videoconference. The public summary is below:
o The Board reviewed the Agency's operating and financial performance for April
2024.
o Clean Energy Choice program participation increased from 5.4 to 5.5%.
o The Board discussed the status of renewable projects the Agency is pursuing.
o The Board received an update on government relations and the conclusion of
the 2024 Minnesota legislative session.
