DISCUSSION:
• Office walk-in traffic for May consisted of 138 customers, averaging 35 customers per
week over the four -week period.
• Currently there are six active residential solar photovoltaic projects planned or under
construction in the ERMU service territory.
• In the last 30 days, the level two electric vehicle charger located downtown and the
charger in the parking lot in front of ERMU had 12 sessions and provided customers with
646 kWh of green energy.
• National Information Solutions Cooperative's (NISC) Minnesota User Group hosted an
annual spring meeting at Great River Energy in Maple Grove. Elk River Municipal Utilities
was represented by our billing specialist, credit and collections specialist, a customer
service representative, and IT/OT technician. The user group provides Minnesota NISC
users a learning opportunity by participating in demonstrations on upcoming product
enhancements and round table discussions with their peers.
The administrations director attended a ribbon cutting event held on May 22, 2024, for
Eagle Scout Candidate Brycen Jones' project to install a solar picnic table at Orono Park.
Starting June 3, 2024, all Distributed Energy Resource (DER) interconnection
applications will be submitted via Nova Power Portal. Communications staff has created
a new page for this on ERMU's website which will launch on that day.
• The Advanced Metering Infrastructure team continues to meet weekly with Allegiant,
NISC, and Core & Main to work through, test, and implement new processes and
procedures.
