DISCUSSION:
• The fiber installation contractor has completed installation of all conduit and fiber for
the loop, and their splicing subcontractor is planning to begin work during the week of
June 3.
• Staff is finalizing equipment to begin network installation at the sites that will be served
from the new fiber ring and planning for future installations at remaining sites that do
not have fiber yet.
• With the expansion of the fiber loop, we are meeting with city staff to discuss the best
way to track splicing details and other information. ERMU is investigating how this
would work to track through ESRI.
• Mapping updates continue, with staff gaining familiarity with ESRI mapping products.
We continue to move forward with transition to ESRI as primary mapping tool.
• A summary of the May Information Security Committee meeting is included in this
month's consent agenda.
