A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION ENTERING INTO A MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF ELK RIVER AND WRIGHT COUNTY FOR
BRIDGE #86515
WHEREAS,
it is deemed to the best interest of all parties that the
duties and responsibilities of both the City and the
County as to maintenance on Bridge #86515 and its
approaches should be clearly defined.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED with regard to said structure
maintenance:
MAINTENANCE
CITY RESPONSIBLE FOR: (1) Maintenance of street lights;
(2) Removal of snow from sidewalk;
(3) Maintenance of slopes/berms and roadway on north approach
(includes: turf maintenance, bituminous maintenance, drainage
and riprap maintenance);
(4) Periodic sweeping to remove sand and debris and removing
sand/dirt from expansion joints;
(5) Removal of markings/spray paint etc. from visible surfaces of
bridge structure.
COUNTY RESPONSIBLE FOR: (1) Snow and ice control from bridge and approaches;
(2) Signing for bridge and approaches;
(3) Maintenance of slopes/berms and roadway on north approach
(includes: turf maintenance, bituminous maintenance, drainage
and riprap maintenance);
(4) Centerline and edge pavement marking (includes stop bar).
The agreement between the City and County shall be for a two year period
and run from January 1, 1998 to December 31, 1999. All maintenance
responsibilities will be deemed "offsetting" therefore no payments will be
required for the individual maintenance work which conforms to the areas
stated herein and performed under authorization of either the City or
County.
1998
In the event that the structure needs major maintenance/rehabilitation an
agreement detailing the work and shared costs must be approved and
accepted of either the City or County.
