Consideration of Board/Commission Appointments for Terms
Expiring February 28, 2006
The following terms will expire on February 28,2006. These positions have been advertised on
the city's website, in the city's newsletter, on the city's cable channel, and in the Star News.
Attached is a list of the board and commission tertp. expirations and applicants that have applied
for appointment or reappointment for Mayor and Council consideration. Per the Advisory Board
and commission Policy: The Council will review all applications. Applicants will be interviewed i?Y the City
Council to make board and commission appointments and reappointments. This process will be conducted through
secret ballot.
Unless Council wishes differently, we will notify the applicants to be at the February 6
Council meeting to be interviewed. Most of these are reappointments.
PLANNING COMMISSION
There are 2 open seats on the Planning Commission with 3-year terms (for appointment until
02/28/09). Below is a list of applicants:

UTILITIES COMMISSION
There is 1 open seat on the Utilities Commission with a 3-year term (for appointment until
02/28/09). Staff received one application for the opening as follows:

PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION
There are 2 open seats on the Parks and Recreation Commission with 3-year terms (for
appointment until 02/28/09). Below is a list of applicants:

ICE ARENA COMMISSION
There is one open seat on the Ice Arena Commission for an at-large representative and one open
seat as a Parks & Recreation Commission Representative, both for 3-year terms. The Parks &
Recreation Commission has not determined who they wish to act as Representative. This will be
determined at an upcoming meeting. Staff received one application for the at-large representative
as follows:

appointment until 02/28/09). Below is the status of current members. No new applications have
been received.
