Resolution 24-61
A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Acknowledging
Contributions
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River was given the items listed in Exhibit A from a variety of
vendors, and
WHEREAS, these items were historically used as silent auction items to benefit the fire
department, and
WHEREAS, the items are unable to be returned to the appropriate vendors based on the
manner they were anonymously delivered over multiple years, and
WHEREAS, using give -a -way promotions helps increase traffic and increase sales at the
municipal liquor store, which serves a public purpose in promoting a municipal enterprise,
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the council authorizes staff to use these
items as promotional give -a -ways to increase sales at the municipal liquor stores.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Councilmember
Grupa and duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer, and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof. Mayor Dietz, Councilmembers Grua. Westgaard, Beyer,
and Wagner and the following against: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted.
The following members were present: Mayor Dietz, Councilmembers Grufra, Westgaard,
Beyer, and Wagner and the following absent: none.
Passed and adopted this 21" day of October 2024.
