The Elk River Police Department recently received a donation in the amount of $100.00 from Wal-Mart
to be used by the Police Department to purchase ammunition and target for training purposes.

A contribution in the amount of $100.00 was received to be used to purchase ammunition and targets for
training.

It is requested that Mayor and Council adopt the attached resolution acknowledging the monetary
contribution from Wal-Mart pursuant to Minnesota State Statute 465.03.

RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING
CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE
CITY OF ELK RIVER
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all ClvlC groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a $100.00 donation from Wal-Mart with the
intent it be used by the Elk River Police Department to purchase ammunition and targets for
training; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River
to acknowledge the support and commend Wal-Mart for their donation.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 13th day of February.
