Approve, by motion, playground concept #3 to replace the playground at Trott Brook Park Playground.
Background/Discussion
On March 13, the Parks and Recreation Commission unanimously approved concept #3.
Staff worked closely with Flagship Recreation on three playground concepts to present to the neighbors of
Trott Brook Farms Park. Staff mailed 510 postcards with a QR code stating "We want to hear from the
members in your household which playground you prefer. Help us choose a great option by completing a
quick survey online." The survey closed on February 8 and the results are as follows:
■ Option 1 — 11 votes
■ Option 2 — 69 votes
■ Option 3 — 75 votes
Financial Impact
$125,000 is in the 2024 PIF for Flagship to install the new playground. This is for the playground installation,
wood chips, geotextile fabric and a dumpster. Staff will be conducting the site prep and coordinating the
demolition.
