Temporary Donation Bins

Discuss city ordinances related to the placement of temporary donation bins.
Background/Discussion
The city has historically prohibited the placement of temporary donation bins within the city. These
operations have the potential to become a dumping ground for items beyond their intended purpose; used
furniture placed next to a clothing donation bin, for example. To ensure the city can continue to regulate the
potentially negative factors (nuisances) associated with these operations, staff would like to review the
current ordinance and possible amendments to the city's nuisance code.
