Appoint, by motion, the Public Works Director or their designee as the assistant city weed inspector.
Background/Discussion
Per state law, MN Statute Chapter 18, the mayor is designated as the city's official weed inspector and the city
may appoint assistant weed inspectors. Due to a recent retirement and job description changes in public
works, it is recommended to designate the public works director or their designee as assistant weed
inspector.
