Background/Discussion Elk River Municipal Utilities (ERMU) recently shared with the EDA its desire to no longer own and operate electric vehicle chargers in the downtown area. Rather than remove them, ERMU inquired whether the EDA would be interested in taking over ownership of the chargers. The EDA requested more information to discuss the merits in more detail at a work session. Sara Youngs of ERMU will be present to share operational and financial information. Should the EDA desire to take ownership of the chargers, staff would work with ERMU on a transfer agreement to present at an upcoming EDA meeting.
