AMI Introduction
Elk River Municipal Utilities (ERMU) is beginning a new era of service. The Advanced
Metering Infrastructure (AMI) project involves installing new electric and Water meters
throughout our entire service territory. The new equipment Will allow us to provide
improved service, operational efficiencies, and better billing information.
AMI Residential Electric Meter Installation
ERMU has begun installing AMI residential electric meters With the assistance of
Allegiant Utility Services. Prior to installation, technicians Will knock on your door. If there
is no answer Work Will proceed as long as the meter is accessible. Technicians Will leave
a door hanger indicating service Was either completed or additional steps are needed.

With communication as one of our core values, ERMU Will provide customers With timely
updates primarily through our Website, social media, and newsletters. Additionally, our
