CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting was called to order at 4:36 p.m. by Josh.
2. CONSIDER AGENDA
Moved by Dan and seconded by Ryan to approve the agenda. Motion 4-0.
3. CONSIDER MINUTES
3.1 May 20th Meeting Minutes
Moved by Ryan and seconded by Jennifer to approve the May 20, 2024 meeting minutes.
Motion 4-0.
4. GENERAL BUSINESS
4.1 Public Art Project
Josh shared that the EDA will consider the agreement with Carey Dean following this meeting.
(Deb joined at 4:37 p.m.)
Josh asked the committee their preference on meeting dates and time to show Carey the natural areas
of Elk River to serve as inspiration for her art piece.
The committee was in favor of meeting during our next scheduled meeting time.
Josh shared that he has been in contact with the city attorney on connecting with businesses to raise
the last $2,000 for the project. Josh will continue to research the best routes to proceed.

Josh shared that he has contacted Plants and Things to coordinate a bench for 2023 Beautification
Award winner, Edge Bar + Boutique.
Josh also mentioned that staff has pushed multiple marketing streams for the 2024 Beautification Award.
Deb shared that the Junior Master Gardeners group is still working with the group to coordinate the
monarch art project.
Jennifer suggested connecting with the Star News to highlight the project.
Staff will look into a potential release form for photo use on social media.
Brent shared that the EDA will be working though their budget workshops and wanted to see what
things that the committee might want to consider for the upcoming budget.
