Bob Otto outlined need for central governing body for recreation in surrounding
areas and Elk River, also need for funding because taxes cannot be leived for this.
Duane Becklin reported tbat details on Cambridc;e recrer.tion program not available.
However, that cOlmnunity has hired a Eecreation Director for the Sun1J.'TI.cr.
Dave halgren outline the Youth I-Yockey Program and budget figures.
John Dietz outlined last yenrs Su'mner Eecreation Program and budget figures.
General discussion held on [:ossible recreation programs, need for recreation
director and coordinator, requirements that would have to be net, and means of
funding recreation program and director's salary. At this point~ tie only
recreation program ha.ving diffiuclty is the Swnmer Eecreation Program. John Dietz
said that it would cost approximately 500 to operate.
