ELK RIVER PARK BOARD MEETING
HELD IN THE VILLAGE OFFICE BUILDING
February 28, 1973 at 7:30 PM.
BOARD MEMBEH,S PRESENT: Chairman Les Derr, Gene Schuldt, Bob Otto, Bob Syring,
Dr. George Meyer.
BOARD MEMBF.:RS ABSENT: Duane Becklin.
GUESTS PRESENT: Stan Moreland; Jaycees, Duane Jensen; Lakeshore Association;
Frank Madsen; Elk River Township.
Copies of proposed Village Ordnance establishing Park Board were distributed.
Revisions to the ordnance were proposed and submitted to the Village Council
for consideration.
Details of Summer Baseball Program will be considered after formation of
proposed Park Board. Park Board will determine what areas Baseball Program
will include. Funding may come from participating municipalities, United
Fund, and contributions from organizations. Age bracket would be from 5-
15 years. Stan Moreland, of Elk River Jaycees will initially set up baseball
program.
Next meeting will be set by Chairman Derr after reply from Village Council
on proposed ordinance revisions.
