Hire Part-time Senior Activity Center Assistant

Action Requested
Approve, by motion, the hiring of Callie Draper to the position of part-time senior activity center assistant
effective December 2, 2024.
Background/Discussion
We went to market to fill this position and received 22 applications. We offered interviews to seven
candidates. Following second interviews, background and reference checks, we recommend Callie Draper for
the position.
Ms. Draper has a bachelor's degree in Recreation and Tourism and has been working as a homemaker for
Senior Community Services for almost a year. Her previous experience includes planning activities, leading
tours, managing memberships, interacting with patrons, and participating in events.
Ms. Draper will start at step A for this position. All pay and benefits will be consistent with city policy.
Financial Impact
This is a budgeted position.
