Adopt, by motion, Resolution 24-71 to accept the generous donation from the Zimmerman Fire Relief in the
amount of $5,000.
Background/Discussion
The Elk River Fire Department received a check for $5,000 from the Zimmerman Fire Relief to be used
towards the Fire Academy. The Zimmerman Fire Relief operates a pull tab booth located in Elk River and this
donation is from those collections.

A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Acknowledging
Contributions
WHEREAS,the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS,the City of Elk River received a $5,000 donation from Zimmerman Fire
Relief with the intent it be used by Elk River Fire Department for the Fire Academy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, by at least four-fifths
vote, to acknowledge the support and commend The Zimmerman Fire Relief for their
donation.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Councilmember
___________ and duly seconded by Councilmember ______________, and upon vote
