Action Requested
Appoint, by motion, Councilmember ___________________ to the Information Security Committee.
Background/Discussion
The Information Security Committee was established in 2017 as a joint effort of the city and Elk River
Municipal Utilities to meet and confer at least once a year on information security to manage risks to the
confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information using administrative, physical, and technical controls.
Councilmember Grupa has served on the committee for the past two years. The annual or biannual meeting
occurs during normal workday hours.
Because of security protocols, the meeting is typically closed to the public which is why we generally don't
have a council report on activities unless a public action is required.
Financial Impact
The Council approves any budgetary consideration requested.
