HELD IN THE VILLAGE OFFICE BUILDING
May 7, 1973 at 6:00 PM.
BOARD MEHBERS PRESENT: Chairman Les Derr, Duane Becklin, Gene Schuldt.
GUESTS PRESENT: Gene Scribner, Shirley Matuseski, John Dietz, Stan Moreland, Dick Hales.
Board approved inclusion of Babe Ruth baseball into Summer Recreation Program.
Discussion centered around the problem of having to pay salary for full time and part
time Summer Recreation Directors.
It was approved that John Dietz would be fulltime paid director, and paid part....time
director would be eliminated. It was decided that total cost for Summer Recreation
Program would be $3,200.00.
Village Council and town board would each be asked to underwrite half of total amount.
Some funds may be forthcoming from United Funds, and if needed, Service Organizations
may be contacted.
It was generally agreed that participants beyond the village and township should be
required to pay additional registration. However, lack of time for this year prohibits
adequate planning.
Next meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 15th at 7:30 PM. at the Village Office Building.
