ELK RIVER PARK BOARD MEETING
HELD IN THE CITY OFFICE BUIDLING
April 18, 1974 at 7:30 PM.
BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Les Derr, Shirley Matuseski, Gene Schuldt, Gene Scribner,
Dan Strei.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Will Daniels.
GUESTS: Barb Osterman, Elaine Rahlf
Minutes of last meeting were accepted, financial report accepted after its correction.
Erwin Specht offered to take bus tours for Recreation Program for $20.00 nite, $25.00 days,
old people trip $60 - $65.
Check with the Monticello Pool to bus kids over for swimming instructions.
Gene Schuldt made a motion that up to age 18 $3.00 19-65 $4.00 over 65 free for
registration fee, Gene Scribner moved and seconded it.
Les Derr will invite Al Froehlich to our next meeting.
Gene Scribner moved and Gene Schuldt seconded for Shirley Matuseski to take a registration
form up to Model office at Senior High School and pay the cost.
We can get the $1,000.00 from the Lions anytime wanted. It has been recommended for some
Kiddie stuff.
Don Strei submitted the pre-application for obtaining park land. Gene Schuldt moved that
we accept Dan'S application, Don Strei seconded. Motion was carried.
Up to $200.00 is to b~ allocated for girls softball equipment. Motion carried.
It was decided to check out the prices on caps and shirts and will discuss at next meeting.
Don Strei moved we adjourn the meeting, Gene Scribner seconded. Motion carried.
Next meeting will be May 2, 1974 at 7:30 PM.
