ELK RIVER JOINT PARK BOARD MEETING
HELD IN THE CITY OFFICE BUILDING
May 23, 1974 at 7:30 P.M.
BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: New Chairman Gene Schuldt, Will Daniels, Gene Scribner, Shirley
Matuseski, Don Strei.
GUESTS: Judy Reising, Sandy Scott, Paula Anderson, Barb Osterman, Elaine Rolhf, Cliff Lundberg
Due to the death of our Chairman Les Derr Gene Schuldt will be our next C\lairman.
Judy Reising wanted to know about a room for story hour 10:30 to 11:15 for 3 to 6 year olds.
Don Strie suggested we have a meeting of all members that are volunteers. We should give
them the right for incidental expense to keep interest going.
Don Strie was the male chaperon for the swimming trip to Princeton. 47 kids participated.
A suggestion is to get treats for the kids to eat, because they are very hungrey.
Wally Fox brought a list of little league and they will do a cross check of who has
registered and who has not registered.
A motion was made to make an authorization to run a ad to approve the schedules on
registration.
Will Daniels will be treasurer for the Joint Recreation Program and will deposit the money
with Chuck Savela.
Our next meeting will be May 30th at Science Room at Senior High School, Room 247 at 8:00 PM.
Gene Scribner made a list of people who are Volunteers to call for a committee meeting.
Will Daniels is going to check on shirts for girls softball.
The Joint Park Rec. Board will meet at 7:00 PM. May 30th 1974.
