I . Call Meeting to Order
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Economic
Development Authority Together Elk River Sub -Committee was called to order at
4:34 pm by Jennifer Wagner.
2. Consider Agenda
Moved by Charlie and seconded by Debbi to approve the agenda. Motion
carried 3-0.
3. Consent Agenda
Moved by Debbi and seconded by Charlie to approve the March 1, 2022;
March 9, 2022; March 21, 2022; and June 6, 2022 Meeting Minutes. Motion
carried 3-0.
4.1 Together Elk River 2023 Campaign for the 169 Redefine Project
Brent caught the committee up on the status of Orange Ball Creative for the coming
marketing season. The committee came to consensus to continue to work with
Orange Ball in 2023.
The committee agreed that marketing material should aim to get in front of the
construction pain points.
The committee also agreed that it would be beneficial to include Communications
Coordinator Starr Sorheim, and a representative from the school district at the
upcoming Together Elk River meeting on February 215E
Josh presented potential billboard opportunities in Rogers, Elk River, and
Zimmerman. The committee provided positive feedback on moving forward
securing the digital billboard near Chipotle.
Charlie suggested designing and preparing temporary yard signs catching traffic near
the intersections impacted by construction.
4.2 Other Together Elk River Initiatives
Brent discussed a potential change to the downtown banners. Jennifer suggested
updating the theme to shop local/look local first. Other thoroughfares and retail
centers should be considered for themed lighting, public art, and additional banners
to grow the community feel outside of downtown.
4.3 Committee Organization
Brent discussed that the committee should look further into the structure of the
committee and who are voting members. It was suggested to table this for the sake
of time.

There being no further business, Jennifer Wagner adjourned the meeting of the Elk
River Economic Development Authority Together Elk River sub -committee at 5:29
pm.
