03-18-2024 TER MINSpecial Meeting of the Elk River EDA Together Elk River Committee V;�Held at the Elk River City Hall ver Tuesday, March 18, 2024 Members Present: Charlie Blesener, Debbi Rydberg, and Jennifer Wagner Members Absent: Joanna Arbic Staff Present: Economic Development Specialist Josh Mollan. Economic Development Director Brent O'Neil, and Senior Communications Coordinator Starr Sorheim I . Call Meeting to Order Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Economic Development Authority Together Elk River Subcommittee was called to order at 4:35 p.m. by Jennifer. 2. Consider Agenda Moved by Charlie and seconded by Debbi to approve the agenda. Motion carried 3-0. 3. Consider Minutes Moved by Charlie and seconded by Debbi to approve February 20, 2024, Meeting Minutes. Motion carried 3-0. 4.1 169 Redefine and Video Marketing Update Starr provided an update on 169 Redefine. Josh advised that he will be working with Jake Pace in creating Facebook Reels for highlighting businesses impacted by the Main Street closure. The committee was in favor of this marketing approach but to focus on businesses that don't have franchise/national brand marketing. 4.2 Billboard/Signage Update Josh shared the Placer.ai household group descriptions that were mentioned at the last meeting. Josh shared the traffic flow from the westbound Highway 10 traffic pin. Josh advised that Chris Leeseberg will provide vendors that have requested permits for temporary signage. In addition, Josh will look further into leased signage from Franklin Outdoor, and changing the copy on the existing for -sale sign at Main and Gates. 4.3 OrangeBall Services for 2024 Josh shared the proposed services in the OrangeBall contract. The committee was comfortable moving forward with OrangeBall for the social media campaign in 2024. 4.4 General Updates Josh shared that Molly Nadeau has resigned from the committee. Jennifer suggested connecting with Tamara Ackerman as she has expressed interest in joining the committee. Josh shared that it would be most cost effective to print the downtown banners in-house. S.
