The minutes of UJe last meeting were read and upproved. The treasurer's report
"JaS given. Our funos currently total $3,66h.hl.
Son Strei has looked into horsemanship trips to Hockford Stables and talked to
a nrs. Hummel about organi7,ing them, but nottunr: det'ini te has materialized. Don
also informed us that the r'iodel Plane Club has () registered members and eleven interested
boys. Flyers were sent out through school to elicit members. Don requested $227.75
for equipment expenses for the club. Sandy Flerninc; moved that 1i'!e contribute this
amount to help the club Get started. Jim Dingle ::;cconded and the motion carried.
Jim Dingle presented the by-lmvf3 for the Community Education Advisory Council.
Jim is a member of the council representinG the school and has consented to be our
1a1::;on member for the Eecreation Board.
Election of officers l~a~) held. Jim Dingle v.7il~; elected the nO\v Chairperson.
Sandy Fleming, treasurer and Linda Anderson, ~)ecretary i both for a second term.
l.loyd l'acatclmH: pre~oented the baseball budGet for the 19'17 soa.:30n for Dick Hales.
TrUe> proGram is expected to include between :)75 2nd 1:00 boys. Dick's request was
for $1,312.20. An itemized list of equipment needs Vias also submitted. It was
sus;gested that tTim Dins;le check i.vi th Kent Harrington as to the pos~,ibility of keeping
Ule equipment on school premises to keep better track of supplies. Also, the
Hecreation Board would like: an inventory of equipment at the end of the baseball season.
Don Strei moved that \~e give Dick $300.00 nOVJ and a total of $1200.00 for the season.
E):mdy Fleming seconded this motion and it carried. An additional $80.00 was also
authorized to be given to Did: for the ree;istration fee for the Babe Ruth teams in
the National and State orearrizations.
The Recreation Board'~; summer pro[';rams were briefly discussed. It was strongly
recommended that we have an anc>Hering service handle calls and late registrations
ClL:ain this year. tTim Dingle \,'ill contact last year's co-ordinators to seek interest.
vIe \\rill discuss the programs in more detail at our next meeting.
Don moved that we adjorn. Lloyd seconded. The meeting was adjorned, OUr next
meeting will be held at the Legion Club on Tuesday April 12, at 7:30 p.m.
