BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT:
Ken Nelson, Stan Moreland.
Minutes of 6-28-77 meeting read and approved.
BUDGET REVIEW: Balance sheet prepared by City Clerk was reviewed.
Items listed were unclear and further clarification will be asked.
Most important are: Utilities expenditure and wages. Also,
Satellite use expenditure was not included or $231.38 for new
field lights, and lifeguard wages.
PARK IMPROVEMENTS
Well Estimate: Steve Ostby got an estimate from Jim Mevission
@$7.00 a foot. Daryl McAlpine quoted $6.50 a foot. Both for a
4-inch well. A 2-inch well can be sunk for $150.00. Depth of
well~ to provide good drinking water, should be80to 100 feet.
Adding a submersible pump, cost would be approximately $1,000.00.
Securit Li ht and Yield Si n. Motion by Ostby, seconded by
Schumacher to ave yiel sign installed on Gary Street at Orono
Park. Passed unanimously, to be installed as soon as possible.
Street light proposal will be considered in Spring 1978 to be
installed for Summer use only, months of May thru August.
Outfield Fence. Steve Ostby will contact Dale Borquist regarding
gate repair and fence spacer. If cost does not exceed $150.00,
job will be let without further approval.
Beach Gates. Tabled until further information about original intent
and authority, plus current need can be obtained.
Bleachers. Stan Moreland got an estimate of $2,800.00 for repair.
Item will have to be carried over to 1978 budget.
