Elk River Park ::Board City Hall September 13, 1977 ::BOARD MEX.BERS PRESENT: Chairman Gene Schuldt, Steve Ostby, Ken Belson. BOARD JlllXBERS USE1ft': Stan Moreland, Walt Schumacher. GUES'l': Marlon Glines, John Dietz, Softball Association, Jim Pelliccotti, Gene Zappa, Rittgewood Association. . Softball Association: City Clerk will have to tdi.a.1\up'utili'tieSUlsage for three meters: two softball fields and concession stand. Softball Association will reimburse the oi ty for their u&ge. Plan to reserve Kus Field last :full weekend each month for public /oompa.rt3 ue was explained and the representatives were in agreement. Softball representatives were also in agreement that in 1978 a $50.00 deposit will be made before all tournaments to insure deBris is cleaned up. Ken Nelson will determine if area has been clea:nedup satisfactorily. Softball representatives will get an estimate for new poles, light fixtures, etc. for Derr-Gruepner Field. ::Boreeball Request: Jim Pelliocotti and Gene Zappa presented a request for boree- ball equipment. The Governor's office is giving aW8\Y' the equipment, but the request mustoome ht_ DIWlicipalities. )(r. Pellicootti said he talked to Mayor Ludberg and Counoilman Otto and they wanted the Park ::Board to consider it and make a recommendation. Steve Ostb:y moved and Ken Nelson seoonded that the request be approved and that the Council submit the request to the Governor's Offioe. The boreeball court will be situated in Ridgewood. Park Satellite: It was suggested b:r Ken .lson that Gene Fyle of Moaticello be contacted for portable toilet rental for next :rear. Ken Kelson will obtain costs. Yield Sign: Yield Sign at Orono Road and Gar;y Street has been installed. Park Gates: Both gates to beach entrances have been taken out .
