Introduction
The Parks and Recreation Department is proposing changes to the Indoor Facility Use Policy based on
current needs and facilities.
Discussion
1. All Indoor Facility Use
Item #7 of the General Rules Policy reads: "Use of candles or any open flame is prohibited unless
approved in writing."
2. Trott Brook Farm Barn
We currently require building supervision for all uses; however, we have found that since we have little
equipment in the facility and it is a small space, building supervision is not needed.
3. Program Facility (Formerly Emporium)
This facility has not been available for rent in the past. Now that improvements are complete, this facility
is a nice space and would work well for small meetings up to about 75 people. Tables and chairs have
been added and would be available to users. A proposed fee schedule, consistent with our other
schedules, is attached.
Financial Impact
Having the Program Facility available for rent may generate additional revenue for the Parks and
Recreation Department.
