Introduction
The 2006 budget for Northbound included $10,000.00 for replacing old tile and carpeting. We would
now like to upgrade to commercial grade vinyl tile throughout. The cost for this will exceed the budgeted
amount.
Discussion
The existing carpeting is now 9 yrs. old and looking worn. Carpeting was a low cost flooring alternative
but has not proven practical for a high traffic retail environment. It also requires a lot of maintenance.
The office will also be recarpeted.
Financial Impact
Tile and installation will be approximately $26,000.00. There should be long term savings in durability
and lower maintenance.
The cost to carpet the office should be less than $600.00.

Entire Same as VeT except replace with Amtico heavy duty
commercial40-m11 Ylnyl tile or strip. This product is
considered _ the "elite" commercial tile product in the
industry. I can arrange an .ppointment with the manufacture
rep to explain the benefits and savings realized by using this

Please note: "it is necessary to 'nstal, a vinyl base on the
toe kicks of gondola.. there would be an additional charge to
cover this labor and material.
Costs noted are total CO$ts and are not to be figured as
over and above the orig;ena' bid dated 217/2006.
