Community Event Center: 2026 Facility Rates

Approve, by motion, the 2026 FT Center rate schedule as presented.
Background/Discussion
The City Council and MFAC/Community Event Center Commission (CECC) held a joint Work Session to
discuss the 2026 FT Center rate schedule on April 7, 2025. Staff solicited comparable rates and presented the
findings to the CECC on June 9, 2025. The following rate schedule is the result of their collaborative efforts:
Ice Rates
▪ Bronze Level User – Organizations/Individuals that purchased 0+ total hours in FYE 2024:
o $265/hr = Prime (September 1 – March 31)
o $212/hr = Non-Prime (April 1 – August 31)
o $133/hr = ISD 728 School Hours
• Silver Level User – Organizations/Individuals that purchased 200+ total hours in FYE 2024
o $260/hr = Prime (September 1 – March 31)
o $191/hr = Non-Prime (April 1 – August 31)
o $133/hr = ISD 728 School Hours
▪ Gold Level User – Organizations/Individuals that purchased 800+ total hours in FYE 2024
o $252/hr = Prime (September 1 – March 31)
o $159/hr = Non-Prime (April 1 – August 31)

o A $25 room rental discount will be provided for every $100 of FT Center catering services
provided.
o One-hour room rental base fee minimum cannot be discounted.
Monthly Rental Rates
▪ $1.00 per square foot = Storage Space
▪ $1.46 per square foot = Office/Guest Facing Space
New Misc. Rates (Effective June 10, 2025)
▪ $100/hr = Holiday Rental Fee (Applied to any event event occurring on an a city holiday)
▪ $35/hr/staff = Event/Game Fee
o The fee will cover labor and materials used to support event operations for user groups that
desire enhanced experiences through our production team.
o The Event Production Worker will assist in the delivery of a high-quality, engaging, and
seamless event experience for fans during hockey games, ice shows, and other events as
needed.
Financial Impact
The FT Center ice, turf, and room rental rates are a significant source of operational revenue for the FT
Center budget
