Hire Overlook Chef

Action Requested
Approve, by motion, the hiring of Tori Lyle for the position of Overlook Chef effective July 7, 2025.
Background/Discussion
We went to market to fill this position. We received five applications and offered interviews to all of the
candidates. Following a second interview and reference and background checks, we recommend Tori Lyle for
the position.
Ms. Lyle holds two Associate Degrees; one in Culinary Arts from Rasmussen and the other from Le Cordon
Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Minneapolis. She has been working in the food industry since 2006, most
recently as an executive sous chef for Chartwells at the University of Minnesota.
Ms. Lyle will start at pay step A for this position. All pay and benefits will be consistent with city policy.
Financial Impact
This is a budgeted position.
