Action Requested
The City Council is asked to recognize the life-saving efforts by Elk River Fire and community member, Terry
Elliott, of an infant.
Background/Discussion
On May 9 there was a medical call for a baby not breathing. Firefighter, Terry Elliott, was at home when his
neighbor started yelling his name for help. The mother had found her seven-month-old baby unresponsive and
not breathing when she grabbed the infant and ran outside looking for help. Terry relied on his many years of
training and experience as a firefighter and EMT to provide life-saving CPR to the infant, ultimately saving his
life.
