A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Acknowledging
Contributions
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a hand-crafted metal sign from Sloan Sherrett,
Brody Ternus, and Royce Tolbert as a part of their Elk River High School DECA Serves
project with the intent it be displayed at the Furniture and Things Community Event Center.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, by at least four -fifths
vote, to acknowledge the support and commend Sloan Sherrett, Brody Ternus, and Royce
Tolbert for their donation.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Councilmember
Wagner and duly seconded by Councilmember Grul2a, and upon vote being taken thereon,
the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Dietz_ Councilmembers Beyer, Calva, Grupa,
and Wagner and the following against: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted.
The following members were present: Mayor Dietz, Councilmembers Bearer. Calva_ Grupa.
and Wagner and the following absent: none.
Passed and adopted this 10h day of June 2025.
