A Resolution of the Planning Commission of the City of Elk River Finding
that the Purchase of Property is Consistent with the Elk River
Comprehensive Plan
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River ("City") has agreed to terms with Coborn's Inc.
("Seller") for the purchase of Lot 2, Block 2, Hillside Crossing and approximately 12,500
square feet of Lot 1, Block 2, Hillside Crossing ("Property"); and
WHEREAS, the City will purchase the Property for use as a retail site for municipal
alcohol and cannabis sales, which is a permitted use within the zoning district; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River Comprehensive Plan guides the Property of Highway
Business uses, which include retail operations; and
WHEREAS, Minn. Stat. 462.356, subd. 2 requires the Planning Commission to review the
City's proposed purchase of property for consistency with the Comprehensive Municipal
Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City
of Elk River, Minnesota, as follows: The purchase of the Property described above is
consistent with the Comprehensive Municipal Plan.
