1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting was called to order at 06:30 PM.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
3. CONSIDER AGENDA
Councilmember Beyer moved item 4.11 off the consent agenda. Moved by
Councilmember Grupa and seconded by Councilmember Calva to approve the agenda.
Motion carried 5-0.
4. CONSENT AGENDA
Moved by Councilmember Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to approve
the following consent without item 4.11 as outlined in their respective staff reports.
Motion carried 5-0.

Moved from the consent agenda by Councilmember Beyer.
Sue Anderson, owner of Sunshine Depot -701 Main St, shared the reasons she wants to make
changes in her business. She stated that the new company will offer other gambling options, which will
most likely attract more customers.
Moved by Councilmember Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Grupa to Adopt, by
motion, Resolution 26-09 approving a premises permit for CharitAbleMN dba
Competition Cheer Spirit Booster Club. Motion carried 5-0.
5. OPEN FORUM
No one appeared for open forum.
6. PRESENTATIONS, AWARDS, AND RECOGNITION
6.1 Introduce New Community Service Officers
Chief Kuhnly introduced Community Service Officers Torren Johnson and Jocelyn Eckstrom and
welcomed them to the city.
6.2 Oath of Office: Police Officers
Mayor Dietz administered the oath of office to Officers Joe Reak and Nick Bownes. Each had their
badges pinned on by family members.
6.3 Planning Commission Candidate Interview
The Council interviewed Jim Lang for the Planning Commission. Mr. Lang and his wife own an IT
company that serves a few local communities. He wants to get more involved, and the Planning
Commission interested him in how it is working to build and evolve the city.
Moved by Councilmember Calva and seconded by Councilmember Wagner to appoint Jim
Lang to the Planning Commission with the term expiring February 28, 2029. Motion
carried 5-0.

Mayor Dietz opened the public hearing. There being no one to speak to this matter, Mayor Dietz
closed the public hearing.

9.1 Council Liaison Updates
The Councilmembers provided updates as outlined in the respective advisory board's minutes.
10. MOTION TO ADJOURN
Moved by None and seconded by None to adjourn the meeting of City Council. Motion
carried 5-0.
