Essential Functions 1. Provides maintenance and security of clubhouse and equipment. A. Performs routine cleaning of clubhouse. B. Notifies Clubhouse Coordinator of any repairs and/or maintenance requiring attention from a service contractor. e. Monitors and maintains security of the facilities when working. D. Opens the facility to begin the workday or closes it as scheduled. 2. Perform sales and flllancial activities. A. Rings up sales, receipts payments, gives change, etc. B. Maintains change/refund fund in accordance with jurisdiction. e. Prepares bank deposits. D. Coordinates the receipt and deposit of money. E. Rents golf carts and golf clubs. F. Ensures liquor sales are made in accordance with state and local liquor laws. 3. Performs other essential job duties. A. Regular and timely work attendance. B. Follows all safety procedures. e. Page 2 City of Elk River Golf Course Clubhouse Coordinator Position Description Department: Park and Recreation FLSA Status: Non-Exem Pay Grade: Immediate Supervisor: Golf Course Su erintendent Last Updated: (date) 03/20/06 7 Positions Supervised: Seasonal Clubhouse Attendant Position Summary The Golf Course Clubhouse Coordinator manages all golf course operations and scheduling; including supervision of the daily operations of the pro shop and clubhouse facilities, golf lessons, greens fees, cart rental, merchandising, purchasing, display and sales. This position also assists with promotions and marketing. Essential Functions 1. Orders inventory and maintains merchandise, materials, supplies, small equipment, and services. A. Orders, receives, moves, and maintains inventory merchandise, materials and small equipment for clubhouse. B. Supplies and checks out equipment/uniforms/supplies. 2. Provides scheduling, maintenance and security of facilities and equipment. A. Coordinates schedules to assure proper scheduling and payment procedures. B. Sets up and maintains clubhouse. e. Performs routine cleaning and preventative maintenance of equipment. D. Notifies Golf Course Superintendent of any repairs and/or maintenance requiring attention from a service contractor. E. Essential Functions 1. Creates, maintains, and operates a golf course in a healthy, modern, and competitive state. A. Creates and maintains golf course putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, bunkers, roads, ponds, streams, and related areas. B. Plants and maintains trees, grasses, and ornamental plantings, including fertilizing, mowing, irrigating, spraying, trimming, and composting. C. Inspects and treats plants and greases for disease. D. Implements a maintenance program for cart paths, bridges, benches, signs, dams, spillways, ponds, and creeks. E. Supervises services provided to the golf course by contractors. F. Builds and maintains automatic irrigation systems, pumps, and drainage systems. G. Plans and arranges the purchase and maintenance of equipment and supplies used in golf course maintenance. H. Responds to and resolves complaints made by golf course patrons. I. Determines when golf course and clubhouse needs to close due to inclement weather. 2. Organizes and directs the activities of assigned personnel. A. Determines priorities, assigns work, and coordinates schedules of assigned personnel. B. Assists in the hiring, transfer, suspension, or discharge of assigned personnel. C. Establishes work standards and perform employee evaluations. D. Establishes work standards and perform employee evaluations. E. Monitors work sites to ensure compliance with established methods, guidelines, standards, procedures, and laws F. Minimum Qualifications o High school diploma or equivalent. o Completion of a two-year golf management program or equivalent. o Five years related work experience. Additional education in turf management or related field may substitute on a year-for-year basis for up to two years of the required experience. o Valid driver's license. o Ability to obtain and maintain a Minnesota Pesticide Applicator's License. o One year supervision experience.
