An Ordinance Amending Chapter, 2-32, Salaries of mayor and councilmembers of
the City of Elk River, Minnesota, City Code
The City Council of the City of Elk River does hereby ordain as follows:
SECTION L That § 2-32, Salaries of mayor and councilmembers of the City of Elk River Code
of Ordinances shall be amended to read as follows:
(a)The salary of the mayor of the city shall be $10,000.0011,000.00 per year beginning in
January of 2027,
(b)The salary of the acting mayor of the city shall be $88,500.003s00.00 per year-beginnin
in January of 2027.
(c)The salary of each remaining councilmember of the city shall be $7,000.008,000.00 per
year beginning in January of 2027.
SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall take effect on January 4, 2027, pursuant to M.S.
415.11, Subd. 2. and be published as provided by law.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 5th day of October,
2026.

The City Council of the City of
Elk River does hereby ordain as
follows:
Section 1. That § 2-32, Salaries
of mayor and councilmembers of
the City of Elk River Code of Ordi-
nances shall be amended to read
as follows:
(a) The salary of the mayor of the
city shall be $11,000.00 per
year beginning in January of
2027.
(b) The salary of the acting mayor of
the city shall be $8,500.00 per
year beginning in January of
2027.
(c) The salary of each remaining
councilmember of the city shall
be $8,000.00 per year beginning
in January of 2027.
SECTION 2 That this ordi-
nance shall take effect on January
4, 2027, pursuant to M.S. 415.11,
Subd. 2. and be published as pro-
vided by law.
