Meeting of June 1, 1965
The meeting was held with Maury Chandler from the Department of
Business Development, Members of the Village Planning Commission
and the County Planning Board were also in attendance.
Mr. Chandler discussed the "701" planning assistance program of a
federal government which is administered by the Department of Business
Development of the State of Minnesota.
He also discussed the general areas of planning and the procedures for
obtaining "701" assistance.
Several examples were given of the cost to various localities throughout the
state with a general average suggested of about $5 per capita for a village
planning job.
The first step in the "701" program is to complete a Part I application, a
copy of which is left with the Secretary.
Subsequent action: the application for "701" assistance "Part I" was completed
and sent into the State Department of Business Development.
