MINUTES OF ELK RIVER PLANNING COMMISSION

Meeting of November 29, 1965
All members of the Planning Commission were in attendance and also
Mr. Spencer and Mrs. Gray from the County Planning Board. The
purpose of the meeting was to hear a presentation made by James Knight
of the planning firm of Nason, Law, Wehrman and Knight. Mr. Knight
explained the general approach to planning on a village and also on a
county level. He went through the various counties for which their firm
had worked and distributed some information that had been prepared
for these various counties.
He pointed out that his firm had just completed a plan for Wright County
and that they were starting to work for the city of St. Cloud so that they
would be working in the vicinity and would be available for work in
Sherburne County and the Village of Elk River.
After Mr. Knight's presentation the board decided to talk to another
planning firm and requested the Secretary to set up another meeting.
