MINUTES OF ELK RIVER PLANNING COMMISSION
Meeting of December 20, 1965
The Elk River Planning Commission met on December 20 to hear a
presentation by Mr. James Hawks of the planning firm of Midwest Planning
and Research, Inc.
All members of the planning commission were present and also Mr. Harvey
Alfords and Mr. Jerry Spencer of the County Planning Board. Mr. Walt
Coles and Mr. Robert Syring who will be new members of the Elk River
Village Council were also present.
Mr. Hawks made a presentation on work that had been done by their firm
and discussed some of the problems which had been met in other
communities. The general presentation followed the format of the other
firm which had already been heard and generated approximately the same
questions.
After the conclusion of the discussion, the Elk River Planning Commission
decided to meet again on December 27 to select a planning firm.
