MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER PLANNING COMMISSION
HELD MARCH 31st, 1969.
Meetmng Called to order at 8:00 P.M. with 5 members present.
Minutes of the meeting were taken by the Chairman.

Wehrman - Knight and Chapman, Inc. appeared, represented
, who presented maps showing
proposed GENERAL GUIDE PLAN for the Village of Elk River.
Motion made by Richard Gongoll and Seconded by John E.
Gibbon, to Approve the General Guide Plan and Goals as set forth,
passed.

Statement for Technical Assistance given to the planning
commission in ~pril 1968, February 1969 and March 1968, in the
amount of $123.00 was presented for payment.

George Dietz and Walter Johnson appeared for G.N.A. and
the Legion, respectively, asking for a special use permit for
land abutting their property and for the vacation of Hblt
Street between 3rd Street and Railroad Drive.
Motion was made and passed to Reccomend the issuance of
a special use permit to use Lots 1 and 2 of Block 13, of the
Village of Elk River for a Parking Lot with a buffer zone on the
East side and a fende on the south line thereof,
And also to reccomend the vacation of that part of Holt
Street that lies between 3rd Street and Railroad Drive, with the
reservation of an easement for the maintainance of the sewer and
other utilities thereon, and that said special use permit extend
to the vacated portions of Holt street lying adjacent to the
subject premises.
Roz Johnson appeared asking for preliminary approval of a
plat covering the East 13.5 acres of that part of the NE~ of
SE~ of Sec. 34, Twp. 33, Rng. 26, in the Village of Elk River..*
Motion was made and passed to reccomend the acceptance of
the preliminary plat as presented*~xcept for the approximate
Southerly 350 feet thereof, said/350 feet to be bordered on the
Northerly side by a street running from 6.S.A.H. No. 13 to the
west side of said tract and then North to the North side thereof..
