Mr. Knight presented his planning proposal for the Village of Elk River and
Mr. Kalesewski said the State approved the proposal and that it was within
Federal guide lines. He further said that the County pla11 as presented was
not within the guide lines so it would either have to get specific approval or
be amended. The price of each plan is based on joint study so they should
go in together.
The Commission decided to study the proposal and await County action on
their part of the plan.
A motion was passed to request the Village Council to approve use of the plan-
ni11g consulta11t as necessary at a rate not to exceed $12.00 per hour plus ex-

The commission decided to study the proposal and wait for county action.
A motion was passed to request council to approve use of a consultant, as
necessary at a rate not to exceed $12.00 per hour plus expenses, for technical
advice to resolve planning questions as they arise during period of time until
701 grant is approved.
