Elk River Village Planning COmmission Meeting, Called to order by Richard
Gongoll, Chairman, with 5 members present.
Warren ANderson, Resident Manager for Greenbrier Development CO., P.O. Box 7650,
St. Paul, Minn. appeared with a request for a variance concerning Lot 16 of Johnson's
Plat, in the VIllage of Elk River. The request consisted of turning the house
around from the original location upon wiichthe building permit was granted so that
it faced i~i~kx~xS~HXRN2XX_~XRXX Southwesterly, and being constructed parallel with
and 33 feet back from the sX~Ee& street. Moved and Seconded that the change from
the original building plan be granted.
Warran Anderson also requested a variance of the side yard requirement on Lot
18 of Johnson's Plat. It was agreed to reccomend that the side year requirement
be varien to 6 feet from the west line of said lot, provided there are no windows
on that side of the building.
Harry Kreus~er appeared concerning the preliminary acceptance of the plat
of Circle Bay: ~g M/S/C That the plat of Circle Bay Addition ~e accepted as shown
with the stipulation that the owner Grade and dust coat the Street, to and in said plat.
Lavine ~axe requested a permit to build a garage on Lot 6, Block 15, VIllage of Elk
RIver. It appeared that the garage to be built was a public garage and was not
pe-rmissable in the Rl Zone.

The/plat of Town's Edge Court was presented for Reccomendation of the planning
Commission. M/8/C that plat be reccomendedfor acceptance as shown.
It was requested that copies of Zoning ordinances be obtained which set up
requirements for agrages to be constructed with houses.. Suggested sourse:
League of MixxEi~axiRxxKS.Municipalities.
The matter of Annexation was brought up and suggestions made that the study
include the questions of When? Why? Where? and How be considered.
