The Res..ring concerned a condi ti onal use perIni t for the ~oresent
building and an addition thereto on the corner of 3rd street and
Irving Avenue (Pa.t Donohue Property-
ivIany of the a..butting land O\slnerS and near rieighbors v!ere present.
Plans 'shot''! off street parking to consist of .5 parking spaces to
the rear of the lot and 2 parking r:lacesagainst the lIorth ~lall of
the building (at the supposed loading dock for the local ~ail trucks).
Eldon Root-es a:oueard and i t ~las stated that the post office
nO'V"l has lZ 13employ~~s and if the butsiness doubled ~lo~ld ..probably have
7 more. 4 of these are rural mail cariers and one drives the local
truck that deposites mail in the carriers boxes.
The quest,ion of the drop bas ",as brought up. The Post master
thc)ugllt the drtbp bo x should be on the Saine side of the street as the
Post Office . There lias tall: of malring Irving a one "Jay Street ruruling
ITorth and putting the Drop Bo x on the 1frest side of Irving.
About 4QO patron were added to the delivery lists of the post office
last year (About).
It lv-as pointed out that the shift of the -post office across tIle
