ELK RIVER VILLAGE PLANNING COMMISSION

Persuant to a petition to change the zoning on Lots 1 and 2 and the South half
of Lots 11 and 12 of Block 2, Thomas" Addition Revised, in the Village of
Elk River; and the Easterly 50 feet of Lot3 Block 2, in said Thomas' Addition
Revised so that said lands may be used for a public library, a Motion
was made to set a date of June 25th, 1973 at 7:30 for a hearing to grant
a special use permit fpr a public library on said lands. Motion seconded
and carried.
Next meeting for work on the IIOrderly Annexation of Township Rx~~ lands
to the Village, is to be held June 5th at 7:30, at the First National
Bank.
Discussion of the proposed railroad crossing at Morton, and a proposal
for lands to be designated as proposed roads in the area on the north
side of the roalroad brought out the conviction that we should be
doing more work on this. That the Highway Department and the Railroad
Sould be contacted for their views; and that evem a EH road east and west
would probable attrack enough interest to start things moving.
The map was turned over to Mr. Houlton for his consideration and
possible action.
