07-30-1973 PC MIN MONTHLY MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER VILLAGE PLANNING COMMISSION July 30th, 1973. Those Present: Clifford Lundberg, Larry Toth, George Zabee, Richard Gongoll, and Dan Bailey. Questions to be considered.: A. Traffic on R.R. Drive. B. Orderly annexation. C. Liquour Store Off Sale. (NE Cor. of Main and 169. After considerable discussion it was decided to forego a study by the planner, who, it was believed, would reccomend that we go ahead and try a way way street between Jackson and Irving on R.R. Drive (Wane-Way East.) and a ONWWAY North x~x on IRVING from R.R. Drive to 4th Street. Appropriate signs to be obtained and posted as needed. (B), The proposed case of a study that would lead toward PLANNEaD ANNEXATION was considered. It was thought that the costs were high in that the study also included porposed work that would lead to township changes in the land use plan of the County.. There was also talk concerni.ng the sharing of costs by the Twp. the VII. and the County. It was decided to ask the planner for a reduced estimate. (C) as to the location of an off-sale unit on 169, to was decided to request and Planned Unit. Development of the area, as this is would was in the mill from former planning cessions concerning this area. ADJURNED .
