On TIlursday, April 13, t\Venty-fi\Te alcol101 compliance checks were done in the City of Elk Ri\Ter
through the Sherburne County Public Health Department and Elk Ri,Ter Police Department. i\ll passed,
aldlough LaRosa's Pizza 11ad an issue.
1\ 16-year old female ID tlle customer, \Vila \vas underage, and dlen tlle 1S-year old manager serv-ed dle
beer. Under their 3.2 license dus is legal, under their strong beer and \vine license only an is-year old can
ID and serve. The business \vas not aware of that. In regards to the serving, tlley caught the underage
part after the manager thougllt tlle client looked young and had tllem ID again. Tile beer was then taken
back. Per Police Chief Beallen, no cllarges \vill be filed.
In tlle future they intend to lla,Te an 18-year old bodl ID and serve any alcohol.
