Northern Larry Terry and I\Tores Christianson, Ken Parker representing Chamber of Com-
merce, Mag Johnson Businessmens Association and Elaine Anderson reporter for
Sherburne County Star I~ews.
~pose of the meeting to discuss "dth the representatives of Burlington I~orthern
what their present and furture plans are for the Elk River area.
The following items were discussed
1. Rough condition of the Main Street and Jackson Street crossings.
2. Inconsistent raising and lowering of the gate arms.
3. -Grade separations for the two main crossingso
4. Possibility of adding another crossing.
5. Present and long range plans.
In summary the present condition of the two main crossing Main and Jackson \1ill be
fixed and the railroad representati ve would be t..dlling to look at any plans that
we may have for revamping the present conditions. The Com~ssion however did ask
the representatives to talk with the t1iTtJlesota Highway Dept. about their future
plans for highway 10.
Letters are to be drafted to Highway Dept. State and Local Representatives of
Government.
