Introduction
The Administration Department is asking for approval to hire Jacob Pace for the Assistant Cable
Producer position. Two candidates were interviewed last week and the position offered to Mr. Pace.
Discussion
Jacob Pace is a graduate of Hennepin Technical College where he completed courses in video design,
equipment, editing, lab, photoshop, and video production to obtain his Associates in Applied Science
Video Production Specialist degree. Mr. Pace is currendy employed 30 hours per week at Quad Cities
Community Television producing the productions of QC Outdoors, District Court Show, and
Community Calendar. Staff feels that Mr. Pace will be an excellent addition.
Financial Impact
Funds for this position have been budgeted. The starting salary for this 20 hour per week position will be
$12.00 per hour with an increase of $.50 after a satisfactory six-month orientation period.
