MEETING OF THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY

1. The meeting of the Economic Development Authority was called to order by
Estelle Gunkel at 6:30 p.m.
2. Consider Resolution Relating to Economic Development Authority
The Resolution submitted by the City Attorney in relation to the creation
of an Economic Development Authority, was discussed by the Commissioners.
Minor amendments were made to the resolution by the City Council. Also.
determined while discussing the resolution were the officers of the
Authority which are as follows, and are listed as such in the resolution:

GENE SCHULDT MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 87-1. A RESOLUTION APPOINTING
OFFICERS OF THE ELK RIVER ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY; APPOINTING AN
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY AND DELEGATING
CERTAIN POWERS TO THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR; DIRECTING THAT BYLAWS AND RULES
OF PROCEDURE BE PREPARED FOR THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY; AND
REQUESTING THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER TO LEVY A TAX IN THE
AMOUNT OF .75 MILL TIMES THE ASSESSED VALUATION OF TAXABLE PROPERTY IN THE
CITY FOR THE YEAR 1988. FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY. HAROLD DOBEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0.
3. Adjournment
COMMISSIONER DOBEL MOVED TO ADJOURN THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
