Renewal of liquor licenses for 2006-2007 licensing year.
Discussion
Liquor licenses run from July 1 through June 30 with the exception of the 2 A.M. license. The 2 A.M.
license runs for one-year concurrent at the time of application and is handled by the State. All of the
establishments except LaRose's have submitted the appropriate documentation and licensing fees. (per
our Ordinance Section 6-70: Applications for renewal of all licenses under this division shall be made at
least 60 days prior to the date of expiration of the license and shall contain such information as is
required by the city clerk.) I will put the renewal of LaRose's on a future agenda for approval.
Background checks are necessary for the renewals of on-sale, wine, and club licenses. Background checks
have also been done on 3.2 percent malt liquor as suggested by Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement
Division of the Department of Public Safety. All have passed.
Financiallmoact
The licensing fee is put into the General Fund.
